Lysis of Adhesions
Typically, adhesions develop as a result of scarring from a previous surgery. In other cases, adhesions are the result of pelvic infection, as well as severe stages of endometriosis.
What are Adhesions?
Adhesions are bands of scar tissue that can cause internal organs to be stuck together when they are not supposed to be. This can result in subsequent issues, depending on the location of the adhesions, including pain and in severe cases,although rare, even intestinal blockage.
How Are They Removed?
